Moved again

I have moved to another country again (which is the reason i haven't been posting a whole lot lately). I'm in Africa now and I have been taking the last few months to find some people to play 40k with. I've found one thus far, and he has played several games now. Soon I'll start posting the battle reports on video and hopefully I'll be able to find some more players...

Quote of the Week

"Hitler knows that he will have to break us in this island or lose the war. If we can stand up to him, all Europe may be free and life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands. But if we fall, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science.
Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth lasts for a thousand years, men will still say, “
This was their finest hour!”"

Apocalypse

This game of apocalypse was played as a three way battle instead of two sides. I had about 6,800pt of Necrons and Tau, the Orks had 6,100pt (alot of proxy though), And the imperial Guard had 6,100pt.
The board was a 6' by 8' connected to a 6' by 4' table. We had 9 objectives, three of which were the leaders of each of our armies. Mine was the Nightbringer, the Orks was Ghazghkull Thraka, and the Imperial Guard's was Creed. *Note: The Necrons were played using the old codex as the new one was not yet out.

A key part that really helped me against the Orks was seeker missles. I had tons of them and with them I killed his 3 dreadnoughts, a trukk, and Ghazghkull himself. Early in the game the Ork player also foolishly placed his 30 Boyz with a special character near my Nightbringer. The Nightbringer then used etheric tempest to blow the whole squad off the board before they could even lay a finger on me.
In the end I won the game with three objectives and I would have easily gotten more the next round. The Imperial Guard had 1 and the Orks had none.

I'm sorry that this isn't an actual battle report, as I have decided to get a camera and do video reports soon.

Quote of the Week

On the battle of Thermopylae:

News of the Persians approach soon reached the Greeks.
"Their arrows will blot out the sun," one scout claimed.
"Good," a Spartan is said to have replied, "then we will fight them in the shade."

Apocalypse

I'm currently playing a huge apocalypse. We're doing a three way battle (three teams of one). I'm using my Tau and Necrons, about 68,000 points though I could of brought on more. Glenn, my friend, is using about 61,000 points of Imperial Guard (with 3 Baneblades proxied). And my other friend, Krister is using 61,000 pt of Orks. Krister doesnt have that many points however, so he has done a ridiculous amount of proxy. We're talking Stompas, a battle fortress, special characters and whatever else, making up for the 3,000 points he doesnt have.
But it is definately BIG. We have a 6' by 8' table, linked to another 4' by 6' table. I'll be sure to take some pics and give a few details when we finish
